tryna write my wrongs
so my wrongs end up right
my wrongs i rewrite
a story of my plight
im right but im wrong
tryna write this poetic song
living for love
for above
though above don’t send love
sends me trials n tribulations
but through these trials
i raise nations
i teach the youth
take away their pain
no need to frown
that smiles upside down
keep ya head up like pac said
fulfill your dream
no dreams when dead
stop living wrong
it aint right
stop standing in the shadows of the light
if you can see use your sight
two wrongs can never make a right
so i write bout doing right
in the hopes and with all my might
that in the end im not wrong
in the end ive won the right fight

I like this- I’m guessing these are song lyrics because I felt an instant groove as I read it. Great title, great subject matter, and a great ending to the song.
People might disagree with me that song lyrics should be posted as poetry. I believe that lyrics are a HARD format to write and that there is a smaller space in songwriting to express an opinion. This poem/song does a very good job expressing itself, while balancing the need to rhyme and flow musically.
It may not read like most poetry, but the message within says the exact same thing.
