It IS a very simple poem, and so simple that it almost sounds like Dr. Seuss story. But the "spirit" of it was sincere and it's good that you both were able to "hear" that in my writing. Its and amazing insight. Each word puts me into your thoughts and feelings, some how I feel like I felt exactly how you do and can relate to it. Simple words, but together create a powerful message. “She loves me some, her heart conflicted, her finger weighted, our souls made heavy, by all the times, She’s had to go”. I love it.. I love the simplicity of the writing, it rolls of my tongue so easily while reading it. I love the meaning, the point you were trying to make behind it.
