Two & then one

This whirlwind chase of directions
to a certain place or feeling
I’ve seen many lives
just dangle in time
never reach towards
a seamless dream
the cracks appear
to deepen slightly
a quick descent
but where did you go?
these times things can’t
holdup through the wrecking ball
I do feel responsible
when I know in time
the shards bleed creativity dry
I hate thinking we were that strong
while going two different ways
fast forward in pain
here I am, self dissolved
purpose desired but
leaving it in every city as I go
a world revolved me
for the first time and died
two and then one
I’ve already begun
but I still see your
paintings in the dark
I still hear our music
when I sleep
