Thank you!

I am happy you were able to get all of that from the poem because as I was writing it, those were the emotions I was hoping that readers would get. A relationship falling apart, the heartfelt breakups, and then finally the acceptance that maybe it was for the best. It's not easy but eventually one day when you meet someone else you will see that it was for the best. I always said that no matter how a relationship ends, it always teaches you something about yourself and the things you want out of life. The next time around you know what to change, avoid, and fight for.

This is nice-- and also (my opinion) very poetic. You do an awesome job using imagery to describe your emotions. You are painting with words.

I hear the surf as you tell this. I feel the sand under foot. I sense your loss and pain-- the acceptance that things have changed-- and understand the goodbye at the end.

Poetry packs a ton of emotion between the lines and in the imagery. You nailed this poem with it's imagery and the scenes you describe.
