I could make you cry
If I wanted to
I could break your heart
But that’s just cruel
Nothing would change
It’s out of our hands
It’s a beautiful day today
C’mon, I wanna show you what I found!
By the trail along the lake
Just beyond the lazy river
There’s a place where no one comes around
Where the water shines and shimmers
And you and I could lay forever
But if you say you just can’t go
Then I guess it must be so
It’s out of our hands
It’s a beautiful day today
Don’t let the thunder bring you down
There’s a barn along the way
Where we could watch the raindrops falling
We could build a castle in the hay
We could wish the sun away
A perfect place for us to stay
But if you you think that we should go now
Then I guess that we should go
It’s out of our hands
Time moves so slowly
And truth is unkind
It’s out of our hands
It would make you cry to know the truth
It would break your heart but what’s the use?
Nothing would change
It’s out of our hands
It’s a beautiful day today
C’mon, I wanna show you what I found!
We can talk along the way
About the storms that came last summer
And how the world can change in just one day
About our plan to get it back
So you and I could change the past
But if you want to be alone
Then I guess that I should… go
<rest>
Time moves so slowly
And truth is unkind
It’s out of our hands

Thanks & thanks!!!
Yes Sugar- I recorded this one at home too, it’s on the same myspace page as “Cry” (or did you mean… did someone else record it for me?)

Anyways, it’s a very basic home studio recording– just a drum machine (the old-school kind) with an acoustic guitar and vocals. I could have programmed a real drum beat a bass line and strings over this, but I liked it raw and kept this one very simple.
thank you both for your comments and for listening and reading along.
