Of life and death

Live life as it comes
Because no one ever knows
Whether or not tomorrow comes
The line is very thin and taut
Between the day and night
Of our miserable lives and death
And no one can ever visualize
When, where and how the state of demise
Will, and inevitably this, arise
But in the unavoidable event of this
When I can no longer see the light of another day
Or admire another clear blue sky
When I can no longer enjoy the quiet of the night
Or revel in the faint glow of the moonlight
When my heart can beat no more
I always hope to die for a principle
