Blood streaming longer then the Nile
Somehow my shadows are stripping crimson
A lifeless body…
Dripping, dripping down the tile
A path, still my tears remain unshed.

As I scorn the world for its deeds.

Guarding laments ‘pon shoulders pressed.
Past glories have fallen, monuments toppled, in ruin.
Loves Crusades fought valiant and fierce.
Alas, as is nature, fatigue gives way to his indiscipline.
The young mans guard relented to weary arms.
His fight was long, arduous. His weighty armour becomes his downfall;
to his knees. Both warriors, they acknowledge the conclusion.

The Martyrs 1

Through crypts long since vacated
I wander, the martyrs long since decayed.
Memories of their actions echo in the
cavernous voids, fading into nothing
as I continue to search, further, deeper.
No earthly light illuminates this
chamber, no icons shine through.
I wander still,
the escape is always just out of reach.

The heavy yoke of despair
Wrinkled faces reflect turmoil
The long road is still ahead

The path is crooked and broken
Feet like clay, lifting off the ground
Our burdens are cast upon the ground
Releasing of the pain and anguish
