Hello,
A little about myself. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I discovered that I enjoyed reading and writing poetry a few years ago when I was at my lowest point in life. My first poem that I have submitted on this site tells about a mental health issue that I suffer with and have for nearly 18 years. Writing about it is like accepting it and trying to deal with it. I also write about lost love, friendship and my children. I have two beautiful daughters that are 11 and one soon to be 18. I work for our fine city as a school crossing guard and enjoy the children that I help cross the street and the fresh air that my job provides for me. Have been doing this type of work for nearly two years. I’m what you would call a “Jane of lots of trades”. I also have acquired a hobby of keeping an aquarium of catfish. I take great joy in watching them in their everyday environment. I was born on June 13th, 1964 in a small place called Red Lake, ON for which I went back to visit after 30 odd years ago of being away. I consider Thunder Bay my home town because I did most of my growing up here. I look forward to reading other people’s work and submitting more of mine. Comments of any sort are most appreciated. Take care and happy writing.

silly fool
Oh, close yes I have come to deaths
hand but I came back guess that was
the plan
We play tug-of war you and I
You pull me one way and I pull [...]
