The Day Heaven Cried
Written by WritingSugar

I stood there, abashment written all over your face.
We look up to the sky and all that we hold dear
Fell in a single tear.
They knew, the angels were crying for the blood
Revolting it’s boldness down between my legs.
They knew, the gods were in pain, astonish
To find that their creations did nothing but destruction.
I saw you running across the dale field, your face wan
Against the blue sky, while it infuse its dark clouds.
Words left unsaid, your eyes have spoken.
The realization of what has been done tore at my soul
As a drop of rain plunges my shoulder.
I knew today forgiveness no longer existence.
The war has taken its toll on Heaven;
The endless battle of bodies slumping into the ground,
Bodies separating like Russian Dolls.
The single tear diminishing in slow motion, said what
Even a lucid dreamer cannot reverie.
It said it all, that men and its game will never change.
And today, we made Heaven cry.

I really like this poem, your words are powerful, each line led me to ponder, and interpret different conclusion from what you write, for a writer of anything,
The greatest achievement is that other readers can connect with what they have
And draw their own conclusion as well and understand the dept in which the writer sees life. It’s a really great poem
